The Volvo P1800, designed by Per “Pelle” Petterson, was the Swedish car manufacturer’s second attempt to enter the sports car segment. Unlike its predecessor, the P1900, of which only 67 were built, the new coupé found almost 39,000 happy buyers over its 11-year production period, making the sporty Swede a success. In August 1971, the P1800 ES was introduced with a station wagon-like roof construction. The shooting brake, also known as the “Snow White coffin”, was offered with a 2-liter 4-cylinder with BOSCH D-Jetronic and, with just under 8,000 units built, is significantly rarer than the coupé.
This P1800 ES was originally ordered in the rare color “Sea Green” (115), which only reveals its full splendor in bright sunlight. The car was imported to the Netherlands in July 1988, where it was registered until November 2024.
Secure one of the first real shooting brakes with this extraordinary exotic. With reliable technology, plenty of storage space and good all-round visibility, this classic is even suitable for everyday use!
