The Triumph TR4 was presented to the public for the first time in 1961 as the successor to the TR3. The design by the Italian Giovanni Michelotti was well received and the TR4 quickly became a bestseller. By the end of production in August 1967, almost 69,000 vehicles had been delivered to customers. Underneath the Italian sheet metal there was still British roadster technology, which has not lost its charm to this day. Probably the biggest innovation compared to its predecessor TR3 was the sports car’s fully synchronized transmission.
According to the manufacturer’s certificate, this TR4 was originally delivered to the USA. A few years ago, a comprehensive restoration was carried out to restore the Triumph to its current excellent condition. A Classic Data report with a condition grade of 2+ is available. The bodywork shows no significant damage or corrosion. The underbody of the vehicle is also in very good condition and almost free of any signs of use or dirt.
The Triumph impresses with its classic, popular color combination of British Racing Green over black and is sold including the accompanying black folding roof, which is also in perfect condition.
Under the hood is the largely unmodified in-line four-cylinder engine with 74kW/100PS. All that was retrofitted was a high-performance aluminum cooler and two open K&N sports air filters in a chrome look. The vehicle also has Maxilite light alloy wheels.
Get an absolute British classic in perfect condition with this roadster and enjoy the charm of the sports cars from Coventry, England.
The vehicle will be handed over with a valid TÜV and Historic approval.
