A classic car that can easily keep up with our traffic thanks to its engine and roadholding. Roadster feeling with the desired robust sound and power in the lower rev range.
“Anyone who has ever driven an MGB with overdrive will never want to do without it again.” The 3rd and 4th gears are longer when activated by the overdrive. The overdrive is conveniently switched using the wiper switch on the steering wheel. The combination with overdrive, driving in good American weather conditions and left-hand drive for the first 20 years gives the vehicle a sought-after base.
The vehicle was first registered in America in 1972. The dry climate is the basis for the vehicle’s current good condition. In 1993 it moved to the Netherlands and has been in the possession of the current owner since 2015.
The speedometer shows a rounded mileage of 16,000, from which the mileage is calculated as 25,760.
An extensive restoration was carried out in 2003. Immediately after the takeover in the summer of 2015, a major inspection service was carried out in the specialist workshop. Since then, the car has been technically well maintained and small parts (fuse box, starter relay, …) have been replaced.
In 2016, the vehicle was fitted with new tires and a wooden steering wheel was installed. The original steering wheel is included. In 2017, a carburetor overhaul was carried out and the seats were covered with real black leather with white piping and reupholstered. The visual condition has therefore matured considerably.
The last inspection was carried out in mid-2017 in a classic car workshop, since then the vehicle has driven around 1500 miles. The simultaneous TÜV inspection took place with no defects or indications.
The H report with no noticeable defects and the report for obtaining an individual operating permit from 2015 are available.
