For a long time, the Mercedes 190 SL was in the shadow of its legendary big brother, the 300 SL, which has been fetching 7-figure prices when changing hands for decades. The 190 SL was technically based on the Ponton model (W121) and therefore more of a “touring sports car”. With the market prices of the 300 SL continuing to rise, good examples of the little brother have also enjoyed greater appreciation among enthusiasts in recent years and thus a corresponding increase in value.
This SL was fully restored in 2017 and has been in immaculate condition ever since. The car has matching numbers, the original Becker Mexico radio and the associated mechanical Kienzle clock. During the restoration, the color anthracite DB190 was chosen for the body, and cognac leather and wool boucle carpets for the interior. The vehicle also includes a second set of carpets and sun visors, a hardtop that has also been restored, a valuation report (grade 1, 2017) and various original brochures and documents.
With this 190 SL we are offering you one of the most beautiful German classics in an incomparable condition; suitable for occasional trips, but also vacation trips to sunny areas.
The Arnold Classic team is looking forward to your inquiry and happy to answer any questions you may have!
